Highlighting the importance of Guru Purnima, Rd Sudhanshu Gudadhe of Class 8th B, paid tributes to the Gurus, who impart knowledge and wisdom to them. He gave spiritual references of Maharshi Vyas from the mythology to highlight the importance of the day. He further said that Teachers or Guru are like God who dispels darkness and show the path of wisdom. He also told his fellow Ramdandees to follow the duties like shraddha, sadhana, seva, respect, obedience and self discipline. At last he advised Ramdandees to demonstrate respect and gratitude towards their Gurus.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Veena Patharkar, Assistant Teacher, stated that Guru Purnima is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Maharshi Ved Vyas and it is celebrated across many countries. On this day, Gautam Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples. She narrated the meaning of Guru as mother who shows the path to completeness. Guru empowers students to uncover their true nature, overcome limitations, and realize their full potential. The Guru's guidance is not just about imparting knowledge, but also helping students to develop a deeper sense of self awareness, compassions and inner peace.

While narrating a story of Guru and disciple, she said that a disciple was drawn to a Guru’s wisdom, admiring the process of making toys and seeking guidance of making them. However, his refinement in making toys sparked jealousy in the disciple, leading him to distance himself from the Guru. The separation led to self-reflection to the disciple and realized that his jealousy affected inner peace and wisdom. Hence, he returned to the Guru seeking forgiveness and reconnection, demonstrating the gratitude in spiritual journey. Lastly, she advised Ramdandees to follow the instructions of the Guru and wardens. She exonerated that one should not run away from problems, rather find the solution to the predicament.

While addressing the Cadets Mr Rahul Dixit, highlighted the significance of Guru in one's life. He told the Ramdandees that the books are their best gurus. He elaborated that one must respect books if one wants to excel in the academics. The Guru Shishya relation is prevalent in the country for many centuries. Guru has the highest stature probably next to God so one should pay highest respect to the teachers. If one observes and gain the knowledge that the teacher imparts, all will achieve wonders, he said. Mr Dixit added that our School is like ‘Gurukul’ with motto, ‘Shapadapi Sharadapi’. Once you are settled in the school, it is the best institution to hone your skills producing utmost output. Further he gave numerous examples of Guru Shishya pairs like Arjuna-Dronacharya, Chandragupt Mourya-Chanakya and Sachin Tendulkar-Ramakant Acharekar. Each disciple if he follows Guru, attains the goal of his life.

Like the selfless service rendered by the Guru to his wards, ‘Mother Nature’ also provides us in numerous ways. Thus, there is a requirement that we should do our best to preserve it. Based on this very spirit, every year a Tree Plantation Drive is undertaken by all the members of Bhonsala Military School, Nagpur on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima. Tree Plantation Drive also marks the commencement of ‘Inter Bhavan Arboriculture Competition’. Each Bhavan is required to plant and tend to the saplings and nurture till they become full grown trees. The marks scored in the competition are contributed towards ‘Best Bhavan Trophy’.
Mr Rahul Dixit, Arch Dilip Chawhan, Member Governing Body, Nashik along with Commandant, Head Master, Principal, academic and non-academic staff members, Military Instructors and all the Ramdandees participated in the ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ by planting saplings with great enthusiasm and fervor.
